Combine trekking and trail running in one of the world’s deepest canyons. Over seven days, traverse Andean plateaus, descend into the Colca Gorge, and run along riverbanks, all while staying in local homestays and campgrounds.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arequipa → Chivay (3,650 m) → Acclimatization walk.
Day 2: 12 km trail run to Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint → Descend to Sangalle Oasis.
Day 3: Run 10 km along canyon floor → Camp in village.
Day 4: Rest and optional hot springs.
Day 5: 15 km ridge run → High plateau camp (4,200 m).
Day 6: Trek 8 km to traditional village → Cultural exchange.
Day 7: Return to Arequipa via Colca Valley road.
