Run the scenic Lares route to Machu Picchu over seven days, combining endurance trail running with cultural immersion. Pass through traditional Quechua villages, hot springs, and high mountain passes up to 4,600 m before arriving in the Lost City of the Incas.
Itinerary
Day 1: Acclimatization jog around Cusco’s hills → Gear check.
Day 2: 12 km run through Lares Valley → Camp near Patacancha.
Day 3: 15 km trail to Ipsaycocha Pass (4,450 m) → Descend to Yanahuara village.
Day 4: 18 km run into Inca Trail junction → Transfer to Aguas Calientes.
Day 5: Guided Machu Picchu run and exploration.
Day 6: Recovery day: hot springs and light trails around Urubamba.
Day 7: Return to Cusco by train and transfer.
